Compare and Filter among 7600+ Municipality in Italy

Risk before romance

Search and compare all 7,904 Italian municipalities across every region, including the five with special-statute autonomy. Name, region, province, population and altitude come from ISTAT; seismic zone from the official Protezione Civile classification (May 2025); distances to the nearest airport, train station and provincial capital are calculated from real GPS coordinates; crime rate is the official regional figure (ISTAT/Ministero dell'Interno); broadband status comes from the June 2026 BUL rollout report; UNESCO tagging is a curated, non-exhaustive sample of well-known World Heritage towns.

Still pending, for honesty's sake: average seasonal temperature has no official per-town source at all (Italy has a few hundred weather stations, not 7,904), so it's left out of the full directory rather than approximated. Average age has no bulk-downloadable official source either (ISTAT only offers it via an interactive per-comune query tool, and urbistat.com blocks automated access). Crime is shown at the regional level (20 real values), not per town, since Italy doesn't publish official crime statistics below the provincial level, let alone per municipality. Schools, hospitals and parks (as amenities) still need a join against MIUR / Ministero della Salute / OpenStreetMap registries. UNESCO tagging is a curated sample of well-known sites, not a verified complete list of all 61 official inscriptions and their exact municipal boundaries.
